“351 Days in a Box” is an installation composed of some of my works from the series “A Letter a Day”.
As the title suggests, this installation is a collection of 351 letters placed into one tiny space. Although I’ve been doing this project since 2020, I rarely look back at all the envelopes I drew/wrote and now (as of May 2023) with over 900 pieces of letters, I wonder how they would like if I present them in together.
「 351日の箱詰め」 は、「毎日、君に手紙をかいてあげる 」というシリーズの一部からなるインスタレーションです。
タイトルの通り、今回のインスタレーションは、351通の手紙をひとつの小さな空間に収めたものです。2020年からこのプロジェクトを続けていますが、かいた封筒を見返すことはあまりなく、今は (2023年5月現在) 900枚以上をかいたが、それらをまとめて展示したらどうなるのだろうと思って、インスタレーションを作りました。

SICF is an annual art festival that allows artists to showcase their work in an individual booth. Although showing this much work in an open space might be a better idea, an art-fair-like booth feels more personal and it allows the audience to immerse themselves in the world of letters too.
SICFは毎年開催されるアートフェアで、アーティストが個別のブースで作品を展示することができます。オープンな展示空間でこれだけの作品を展示するより、アートフェアのようなブースの方が個人的な感じがするし、観客も文字の世界に浸ることができると思いました。
