Holothuroidea is the scientific name for the sea cucumber.
This series draws inspiration from its peculiar form.
A fleshy body adorned with warty bumps and soft spines that, from a distance, resemble sharp thorns. Though they appear defensive and formidable, these structures serve to protect a vulnerable interior.
このシリーズは、ナマコの独特な姿形から着想を得ています。
肉々しい体を覆う、いぼ状の突起や柔らかな棘が遠くから見ると鋭い刺のようにも見えます。
威嚇的で力強そうですが、実際には傷つきやすい内側を守るためのものです。
I see anger in much the same way.
It often arrives clothed in force. A sharp, explosive and seemingly aggressive emotion, yet beneath its thorned exterior lies a tender self seeking protection.
Anger
is a fragile instinct, a shield nurtured in the places where we harbour pain, in the things we love, in the things we fear, or in the places where we wish to remain unharmed.
